Design Process

As I begin any project with a client, I sent a design brief to the founder. This helps me get a good sense of the company’s vision, goals, and who they're trying to reach. Once I have that insight and we laid the foundation for the design and branding, I moved forward with the logo development. Because this platform is primarily used on a mobile app, I knew I wanted to develop a logo, typeface, and further branding, tailored to the mobile experience. After settling on a color palette and logo design, I expand the look into type selections, illustrations, and user interface designs, making sure everything feels cohesive and welcoming for users.

By keeping my focus on the digital aspect of this company, I created branding that is impactful and effective on screen. The logomark  works well within the full logo, as well as on its own which is how it will be displayed on your phone screen. I developed a cohesive color palette with a colors that can be used for pops of color, compimentay shades, and neutral options. For the app screens, I developed a login page, sign up page, and four onboarding screens that will set up users for the app experience. I wanted to focus on color and interest for the app, but toned down the brightness when transitioning the brand to a web display. For the webpage, I am providing users with information they need while encouraging them to download the mobile app.
